Our ingredient choices
Our name was inspired by Pachamama. In Inca mythology, she is the “Earth Mother” and fertility goddess who presides over planting and harvesting and embodies the mountains. She is an ever-present deity who has the creative power to sustain life on Earth. And, one of the reasons for our cruelty-free, ethical, and eco-conscious ingredient choices.

We support suppliers who do not test their products on animals.
Committed to ethical practices and we never test our beauty products on animals.
Also, we do not use any ingredients extracted or derived from animals.
Ethical
Our ingredients are natural and organic. Most of them are certified by COSMOS, ECOCERT, or KIWA. Some are also Halal and Kosher certified.
We support suppliers who grow, harvest, and produce ingredients ethically.
And, we believe fair trade principles help everyone.
Eco-Conscious
We aim to ensure that our products and packaging are sustainable, and regenerative, as far as possible.
Our first choice is to source ingredients and packaging in South Africa. This supports local businesses and reduces our carbon footprint.
We do source internationally only when specific items are unavailable locally.
The PACHA BEAUTY story
Founded by Lara Suddes, PACHA BEAUTY was born from a need to solve her skin challenges, her passion for organic skincare, and a desire to help women embrace natural beauty as they age. Frustrated by the lack of non-toxic, effective, and ethical anti-ageing solutions, Lara embarked on a journey of discovery, delving deep into the world of natural and organic ingredients to solve her skin condition.
While completing a Diploma in Organic Skincare Formulation, Lara tested all her skincare formulations on herself. Since then she’s received compliments from colleagues, friends, and family about her improved skin condition.
Inspired to share this gift from Mother Nature, Lara crafted her first market-ready high-performing skincare product that delivers visible results. Our Restoring Anti-Ageing Serum has been tested by colleagues, friends and family who provided honest testimonials on the effectiveness of the product.

Our formulation process
Research
We spend many hours researching ingredients to ensure our product(s) will be high-performing anti-ageing solutions for you.
Development
Then, we formulate different versions to determine the best formula. We also decide which containers and packaging are best for the product.
Testing
Certain products need up to 20 stability tests and some need to be outsourced to a laboratory. Based on the results, we can either put the product into production or need to rework our formulation for retesting.
Our future plans
Lara recently complated a Certificate in Organic Anti-Ageing Skincare, Certificate in Cosmetic Compliance and Stability Testing, and a Certificate in Natural Preservation. She has enrolled in the International Organic Skincare Entrepreneur Program as well as a Diploma in Organic Haircare Formulation. The entrepreneur programme also includes a Diploma in Beauty Brand Business Management and an Advanced Diploma in Organic Skincare Science.
